Wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers everywhere know all too well that the simple admiration of animals isn’t enough to conserve the beauty of the world. They know that steps have to be taken if future generations are going to enjoy nature as much as we do today. Tatiana Regan

One of these steps is putting an end to animal cruelty. This is a cause that everyone should be aware of, even as many animals are facing extinction.

Treating animals with dignity and respect can go a very long way in the fight against animal cruelty. When people notice that even the smallest of creatures in forests are being set free from traps, it will light a fire that would lead countless others toward the cause.

It goes without saying that ending animal cruelty is also an integral part of animal conservation. Anti-cruelty campaigns work in perfect harmony with anti-poaching programs. And there are a number of organizations that push for these goals, such as the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Tatiana Regan

However, volunteering to be part of such groups is just one of the things people can do. They can also opt to patrol places frequented by wildlife and make sure humans aren’t wreaking havoc on their population.

To be sure, there are many avenues through which people may report animal abuse. Today is the day everyone should take a stand.
